We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse to join our dynamic dermatology team. As a key member of our care team, you will work alongside a Dermatologist and Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients in our Huntington Beach and Irvine ambulatory clinics. This position will be split between the two locations, with a daily patient load of approximately 8–12 patients.
The Clinical Nurse will assist with skin biopsies, wound care, patient education, triage, follow-up on orders, and post-procedure care. You will play an essential role in supporting both the clinical team and patients throughout their care experience. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the Clinical Nurse delivers exceptional, patient-centered care and makes a meaningful difference in each patient’s dermatologic and cancer care journey.
As a successful candidate, you will:
Proficiency in performing and assisting with skin biopsies, wound care, and dermatologic procedures
Strong knowledge of infection control and sterile technique
Ability to conduct triage and assess patient needs efficiently
Skilled in-patient education regarding skin care, post-procedure care, and treatment plans
Experience with charting, documentation, and electronic medical records (EPIC)
Ability to manage clinic workflow and coordinate care between multiple providers
Proficiency with clinical equipment and supplies used in dermatology and oncology settings
Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle patient load in multiple clinic sites
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with dermatologists, nurse practitioners, and support staff
Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
Ability to educate and support patients through their dermatologic and cancer care journey
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
This position will work three days (3) in the Huntington Beach clinic and two (2) days a week at our Irvine Ambulatory Clinic.Two weeks training required at our Duarte location. Monday - Friday, 5/8 hour shifts
Your qualifications should include:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing or master’s degree in nursing
Three to five years related experience (Dermatology preferred)
Current California Registered Nurse license
Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
Preferred:
Master’s degree in nursing or related field
National certification (must obtain within three years and must be maintained thereafter to retain Clin III status)
