The successful candidate:
Schedule: PRN On-call and availability needed to work rotating weekends
Provided spiritual resources for the support of COH patients, their families, and staff. Provides spiritual counseling, conducting worship services.
Demonstrated an understanding of the issues surrounding grief, suffering, and life stages that encourages as open expression of thoughts and feelings.
Coordinate the efforts of the pastoral care staff in the absence of the Director.
Communicates with patients and families to provide confidential counseling and motivational support.
Responds to all on-call crisis, code blue, and urgent and sensitive matters with patients and loved ones.
Assists patients, their family, and staff with Advance Directives. Places completed Advance Directives in patients’ chart within 24 hours.
Experience
2-3 years pastoral care experience
Education Requirements
Completion of Masters in Divinity preferred
Master in Divinity coursework in progress minimum
1 Unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) required. More units preferred
