Position Summary:Responsible for overseeing the management and daily needs of the clinical administrative staff. Responsible for training and education, hiring/terminating, coaching and performance managing all direct reports. In addition to managing all phases of the administrative support operations, the supervisor is responsible for working with the Business Manager on a variety of process improvement and special projects for the assigned department(s).
As a successful candidate, you will:
Manage the day-to-day activities of the clinical administrative office.
Serves as a liaison between operational managers, directors, and clinical staff as required. Provides administrative support to physicians and other leaders as needed.
Manages and provides oversight to the clinical administrative employees.
Plans, organizes, and prioritizes special projects.
Compiles, computes, summarizes & analyzes data for special reports.
Mentors, coaches and performance manage employees.
Diligently review departmental operational workflow and processes to identify opportunities for continued improvement and efficiencies.
Help lead onboarding and offboarding of clinical support staff alongside business manager.
Responsible for coordination of physician recruitment including scheduling travel, itinerary, lodging reimbursements, etc.
Demonstrates teamwork and provide assistance with special projects when assigned.
Has regular exposure to highly confidential information & files
Your qualifications should include:
Bachelor’s Degree (any discipline) or High School diploma/GED and 10 years of experience in general administration may substitute for minimum education requirements
6 years of general administration experience, preferably in an academic healthcare environment plus 1-2 years of experience in a lead/supervisory capacity.
