City of Hope is looking for a talented Postdoctoral Fellow to work on retrospective research projects that interrogate molecular signatures and prognosis in stage IV cancer.
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Initiate several retrospective trials to evaluate NGS signatures in patients under 40 vs. older patients while interrogating race and ethnicity.
- Collection and analysis of data from the randomized Investigator-Initiated trial (IIT) of Haystack vs. Signatera in colon cancer (IIT, Fakih, 150 patients)—to be launched in May 2026.
- Collection and analysis of data from the launched neoadjuvant trial for FOLFOX botensilimab balstilimab (FOLFOX-BB) in rectal cancer (IIT, Fakih, 26 patients)
- Collaborate with research team to complete biomarker studies on prior studies (RIN, BBR, FOLFOX-3B—all of which completed with numerous biomarker-driven projects pending).
- Participate in paper writing of multiple research projects.
- Data sets will be electronic. No biological samples will be handled.
Your qualifications should include:
- A Ph.D. degree in life or biomedical sciences, or a related discipline is required.
Preferred qualifications:
- Medical background in cancer (MD background preferred).
