Pay Rate: $41.92 - $64.97 per hour

The Operations Program Manager will support the development and implementation of strategic initiatives within the Naming & Recognition vertical of the Donor Engagement & Experience program.

Strategic Program Management:

  • The position will be responsible for managing the operational performance of donor naming and recognition programs under the oversight of the Senior Director, Donor Engagement & Experience that leads the naming and recognition vertical. This position will:

    ·         Develop and monitor key performance metrics.

    ·         Develop and implement plans to achieve specified targets.

    ·         Coordinate and manage operational activities for the donor naming and recognition program.

    ·         Routinely report on performance to department leadership.

    ·         Manage the budget, timelines, and implementation plans.

Strategic Project Management:

The position will partner with the Senior Director, Donor Engagement & Experience (naming & recognition vertical) to manage day-to-day operations of City of Hope’s donor naming and recognition programs across all system locations. This position will:

·         Directly lead the management of core program services and initiatives from inception to implementation

·         Serve as a liaison between facilities, external vendors, gift officers, and operational leads to ensure objectives are achieved

·         Create and execute project plans, timelines, and budgets

·         Manage daily tasks associated with implementation of initiatives, including direct communication with gift officers

  • Establish routine reporting and templates to be used across the department

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Field inquiries from philanthropy colleagues seeking recognition opportunities for gifts that fall within the defined recognition levels.
  • Create visual presentation materials for gift officer utilization with donors.
  • Manage relationship with signage vendors.
  • Oversee and manage signage fabrication and installations for gifts of $1 million .
  • Collaborate with gift officers for on-campus donor tours (in Duarte and Orange County), serving as a resource for naming opportunity conversations.
  • Work in tandem with Donor Engagement & Experience colleagues, as well as Event Experience team, gift officers, facilities, and other stakeholders to support donor tours, naming events, and gift announcements.
  • Work in collaboration with SDOD, facilities, and other system partners to bring new buildings online – creating naming inventory, pricing, and working with stakeholders to build complementary resources.
  • Coordinate with facilities and other relevant staff to track and manage existing donor naming affected by renovation projects, ensuring consistency and adherence to donor recognition commitments.

Your qualifications should include: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field. 
  • 4 additional years of experience plus the minimum experience requirement may substitute for minimum education.
  • Two years of experience managing a donor naming and recognition program within a healthcare or comprehensive cancer center setting required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Excellent human related skills required.
