Lead with Impact in Clinical Nutrition
Join a dynamic healthcare team where you’ll design and deliver personalized nutrition care plans, guide patients toward their health goals, and make a real difference every day. As a clinical nutrition leader, you'll oversee and mentor dietitians and technicians, develop innovative programs and protocols, and serve as a trusted resource for staff, patients, and the community. You'll also engage in academic research and community initiatives that drive forward the organization's mission and elevate patient care. This is more than a role—it’s an opportunity to shape the future of nutrition and wellness.
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nutrition care that aligns with professional standards and City of Hope’s mission.
- Provide age-appropriate education and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers, with thorough documentation of outcomes.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate clinical nutrition staff, managing scheduling, orientation, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Lead department operations in the director’s absence, including budget input, recruitment, employee engagement, and policy development.
- Educate healthcare professionals and the community, coordinating in-services, workshops, and partnerships with educational institutions.
- Drive quality improvement and innovation, developing protocols, measuring outcomes, and adapting care to meet evolving patient needs.
- Serve as a clinical specialist and CIS trainer, supporting system improvements and leading departmental projects.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and research, staying current with regulations, trends, and best practices in nutrition care.
Your qualifications should include:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of recent experience as a clinical dietitian
or Master’s degree plus 6 years of experience as a clinical dietitian

Experience:
8 years (with Bachelor’s) or 6 years (with Master’s) in clinical dietetics

Certification/Licensure:
Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required

Required Training:
Completion of accredited coursework and supervised practice required for RD certification
